TREATMENT IS JUSTICE
The DeKalb Criminal Justice Treatment Coalition is a designated 501(c)(3) nonprofit advisory council to the DeKalb County Misdemeanor Mental Health Treatment Court. We are committed to bringing treatment to individuals whose mental health and related challenges have pulled them into the criminal justice system. Through funding and support of Court-implemented programs and community outreach, DCJTC facilitates helping criminal defendants with mental illness exit the system and reach their full potential as citizens of DeKalb County, Georgia, and beyond.
We bring change only with the help of Georgians who believe in our mission and support it with donations, volunteering, and spreading the word to others. Many who visit our website have family or friends with mental health challenges and understand the frustrations and triumphs that come with them. The women and men who get involved in DCJTC all share the ideal that mental illness should not translate to incarceration and that we lose when these incredible minds are jailed. Your support ultimately helps bring families back together, frees up law enforcement resources for violent offenders, and helps to restore the lost potential these individuals bring our communities.
Whether you help through monetary donations, volunteering your time, or spreading our mission through word-of-mouth, THANK YOU. You keep amazing lives from being wasted, and we couldn't accomplish our goals without the help of supporters like you.
Sign up to hear from us about upcoming events, our projects, and how you can help!
We are a designated 501(c)(3) organization, and our Board is comprised solely of volunteers to this vital cause. Your generous gift will help us fund our non-profit mission to help those with mental health challenges in the criminal justice system. THANK YOU.
